Erika MacDonald, award-winning American solo performer and Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park Resident Artist, has been creating and presenting original work on stages across North America since 2004. She says, “I’ve made all the mistakes, and I know what it takes.”
This is not a lecture on writing technique. This is also not an acting class.
In SOLO CURIOUS, Erika will share about her process and then be wide open for all questions on everything you’ve ever wondered about solo performance but have been too afraid to ask!
This 90-minute session is a low-stakes, high-reward chance to sit in a room full of curious people, and spy into one artist’s journey into solo performance. You will walk away empowered to take the next step on your own journey IF YOU SO CHOOSE and ON YOUR OWN TERMS.

Erika MacDonald is an internationally-touring performance artist and current Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park Resident Artist whose original works have been featured Off-Broadway and have won "Best of Fest" honors on over 10 different occasions at Fringe Theater Festivals across the U.S. and Canada. Erika is known for her award-winning original solo shows Tea TIME, The Barn Identity, Evacuated!, Tap Me on the Shoulder, and FLUID, as well as her innovative puppet designs. Erika offers coaching and workshops for solo show creators through her practice of “Solo Show Midwifery.” When not on the road or on the stage, Erika makes her home off the coast of Cincinnati, in Covington, Kentucky.
